Een film staat in de planning waarin Leonardo Da Vinci wordt neergezet als avonturier, lid van een geheim genootschap, opgenomen in een bovennatuurlijke queeste. De titel is een beetje lang: Leonardo da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever. Hopelijk gebruikt hij een paar van zijn beroemde uitvindingen.

Waarom we als evangelische christenen van onze anti-evolutionistische houding af moeten: het houdt mensen weg van Christus. Weer een pijnlijke en herkenbare anekdote van The Christian Monist, gekoppeld aan de vraag: waarom maken we naar de kerk gaan zo snel iets dat we 'moeten'? Het lijkt een vorm van bijgeloof. “Church” is not: 1) A building, 2) A meeting, 3) A service, 4) a local organization or 5) denomination. I think to Jesus and the disciples, “going to church” would be about as odd as saying, “going to family.” Church is a loosely defined group of people called out of the world for a single purpose . . . period. It is community! It should be a safe group that you call up when you need them. Where you dine together on a regular bases and talk about your real, messy life. You can’t go to community."
De Naked Pastor vraagt zich af wat er gebeurt als we de kerk zien als een instituut in plaats van een familie. "The problem with an institution is that it requires the sublimation of individual freedom to some degree. I think a healthy family is otherwise: it promotes individual freedom, nurtures it, encourages it and allows its expression."
Video van een van mijn huidige favoriete schrijvers, Greg Boyd, over de vraag of goede mensen naar de hel kunnen gaan. Het gaat echter volgens hem er bij God niet om of we goede mensen zijn, maar of we in relatie willen staan met Hem. "Being in the right relationship with God means you are now orbiting Him and He's not orbiting you."
