Interessante informatie over een prehistorische plantenetende krokodil. Krokodillen deden in het verleden wat diversiteit betreft nauwelijks onder voor de dinosaurussen. Over krokodillen gesproken: interessant feitje om gesprekken te verlevendigen: krokodillen zijn meer verwant aan vogels dan aan hagedissen, slangen of schildpadden. Krokodillen en vogels behoren namelijk tot de groep van de Archosauriers (waar ook de dino's toe behoorden), de rest van de reptielen niet.
Goed nieuws voor de amfibieenliefhebbers: het lijkt erop dat kikkerpopulaties in Australië en de VS zich weer herstellen. Het lijkt erop alsof de kikkers weerstand ontwikkelen tegen de dodelijke schimmel die al meerdere soorten heeft doen uitsterven.
